Sometimes known as “back cover copy,” a blurb refers to the short hook used to snare potential readers once they’ve already been sold on your title and book cover.
It’s been said that a good mind can explain what a book contains, but a brilliant mind can explain what a book is about. For printing books, a blurb’s goal is to capture the essence of your work and reduce it to something that can fit on the back cover. If it’s eBooks, your blurb appears in most places your book is represented, including personal websites, social media, and online retailers.
We offer two options for blurb writing:
- The premium option provides you a blurb crafted by the same editor with whom you have worked thus far. This ensures it is written by someone who understands your ideas intimately, yet remains objective and able to see your work through the eyes of potential readers.
- The ultra option entitles you to the same service, but also enlists the support of one of our marketing and promotions specialists. This ensures your blurb is not only well-crafted, but in-tune with media and market expectations. You will also be provided with an "About the Author" section to appear in your finished book and accompany your promotional campaigns.
